1700-1400 BC: Palace Complex

 1700-1400 BC
Palace Complex in Knossos, Crete

The Palace Complex in Knossos has been inhabited for many thousand years after the destruction of the Minoan Civilization in 1375 BC. It has a history of being destroyed by natural disasters and invasions on several occasions and restored. The complex is approximately 20,000 square meters with a complicated design, making one able to associate the palace with the mythological labyrinth designed by Dedalos.
