Connection: “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” and “The Slave Ship”

Both artwork take place at the sea and they give off a sense of violence because of the strong and huge wave. In the printing it shows how humans are fighting against nature with their will to survive and not to be swallowed by the great waves. In “The Slave Ship” painting, humans are also trying to survive their best, but they were shackled by other humans who think they are the superior species.
