Connection: “Las Meninas” and “Three Beauties of the Present Day”

 Both paintings have a depiction of femininity. In the “Las Meninas” by Diego Velázquez, the focal is the little girl in the center. Meanwhile, in Kitagawa Utamaro’s work, the women are equally a focal point.
